S.C. Democratic debate, nastiness ensues

Things got nasty between Clinton and Obama in tonight’s debate (VIDEO). Some of it was almost embarrassing to watch but it was interesting. You can really see the masks and smiles begin to slip away and the inner viscousness is starting to come out of the candidates.

I’m still for Obama 100% (seconding Edwards), too bad my primary vote in Florida means squat. Hillary has far too much history in Washington and it is time for new blood.

I really hate the debates though. If people really base their vote on these theatrical sparring matches they are doing the country a disservice. What really matters is what the candidates can actually do, not what they say they will do and how well they can insult the other candidates.

And the show goes on.

GOP YouTube Might Not Happen.

Seems the Grand Ole Party (though I’m starting to think that ‘P’ stands for something else, zing!) is a little afraid of what the general public wants to ask them. Now I will say they did pick some softball questions from some clearly Democratic supporters for the other debate, and it would be unfair to not let the GOP’s supporters ask their own softball questions, but this is just lame. Have some balls Republicans. If you stand by what you and your party do so strongly then man-up and deal with the real questions Americans with webcams want to know.

Honestly, you aren’t helping your case in any way fellas. Of course naturally the right-wing pundits will compare this to the Democrats not participating in the FOX debates, which is totally unfair. That was a total ambush and everyone knows it. Even GOP supporters are telling their candidates to participate to give them a chance to speak directly to them.

What gives?
