Barack Obama rising to the top

So about two years ago, when Barack Obama was still on the fence about running for president, I made a prediction on my defunct blog about his chances. Well after the results of the Iowa Caucus I can say that I was completely wrong.

I didn’t think his early momentum and the star power generated from his two books could carry him this far. Not only has he exceeded my expectations but he shows signs of perhaps even sweeping many primaries.

My question: Who would Obama’s running mate be?

Hillary has too much of an ego to concede to being vice-president and I’m not sure Edwards would want to take that route again. My thinking, Bill Richardson. How great would that be, mulatto president with a Hispanic veep. Take that whitey!

Like my boy over at The Adriattic says, minus any major gaffs or revelations, we may be looking at our next president in Barack Obama.
