		<description>allvoices.com, a new media company, today launched their Excellence in Citizen Media Initiative, an online initiative to reward news and opinion contributors from all over the world with a six-month cash incentive program. Contributors of original, on the ground news and opinion between Aug. 19, 2008 and Feb. 19, 2009 can earn up to $10,000 depending on the viewership of their contributions.

About the Initiative:
•	Aspiring journalists from all over the world are encouraged to contribute to the Allvoices community starting Aug. 19, 2008 in hopes of reaching page view milestones by February 19, 2009 in return for cash rewards. Individuals whose news contributions reach 100,000 page views will receive $1,000 and those that reach the one million mark will receive $10,000.
•	Participants can contribute original content through stories, images, blogs or videos via their PC or mobile device.  
•	All content posted on the allvoices Web site is wholly owned by the user regardless of payment and profile pages serve as platforms for contributors to share the activity around their journalistic efforts with others.

Most of them are for desk jockeys who massage content created by the very type of people who are being laid off.
