So have this first assignment for my Metro Reporting class where I have to take a song that deals with urban issues or city life, write a 1,500-word story/report on it and then create a PowerPoint presentation on it. The problem is, I’m bad with song lyrics and themes. So I’m looking for suggestions here.
Right now I’m looking at one of these:
- Phil Collins, It’s Another Day for You and Me in Paradise
- Dr. Dre, Nuthin’ but a “G” Thang
- Something by Rage Against the Machine
- N.W.A, Fuck the Police!
That’s all I can come up with right now, but it’s due in a month so I need to get cracking. The PowerPoint is where it will shine though, I’m thinking full-on music video with gratuitous animations and depressing and tear-jerking photographs.
So suggestions needed audiophiles.
