Anderson Cooper 360° just came back from a commercial break, zooming in on a screen of Bush walking into the room to his address with Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, and Radiohead's Paranoid Android was the background music.
Weird.

Looks like Bill Frist will not be after the presidency in 2008.  I’m sure I’m not alone in my joy that Dr. Prognosis-by-video decided not to run.  Honestly, his campaign would have ended up a Katherine Harris-like meltdown and been embarrassing to watch.

Looks like it is McCain or bust for the Republicans.

Oh yeah, so that's why I stopped playing video games. They turn me into a fucking sloth. I heard it was nice weather outside this weekend, but because of the fine folks over at Square-Enix, I wouldn't know. Shiite. Even though it falls into every fantasy cliché and even more in [...]

Damn, it's like a well-digger's ass outside. Although I know that this is just Florida cold, nothing like the real cold other people face.
Still, it is fucking fuzzy blanket, hot chocolate, cuddle weather and I don't have any of those. I have to substitute tea and imagination.
I like this weather though, it reminds [...]

I love video games as much as the next guy, but this PS3 craziness is getting a little out of hand. A quick search on eBay brings up systems for no less than $750, some even going into the thousands. A kid in one my classes claimed he managed to get four at [...]

Let's Get Frank

I liked Barney Frank before, but after seeing this I love that dude. It's nice to know that there are some actual humans in Congress (though we just got a lot more). This doc has great archived footage and other snippets of Barney Frank doing just that, being completely frank; o [...]

Coming out next week on November 21st. Tom Waits - Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards.

This collection goes far beyond a simple career retrospective, with over thirty new songs, from his own versions of songs he gave to other artists to things recorded in the garage with his kids. Also includes Tom's unique interpretations of [...]

Tonight at Uberbot, The Art of Phil Noto. This could be interesting.

You know it says something about the town you live in when a movie like Fast Food Nation is only playing on one screen. Then again, you can't throw cow chip without hitting a burger joint around here.
It's not about “meat being [...]

Can't sleep, despite the long day and minuscule amount of sleep last night. Even the combo of Kava Kava and Sam Adams isn't helping. The Vanuatu Kava is only in pill form though, not the real deal. I think I am going to buy some pure Kava and try making some tea. [...]

Matthew Broderick.
Broderick met actress Jennifer Grey on the set of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. On August 5, 1987, she was with him as he drove on a rain-soaked road on the outskirts of Enniskillen in Northern Ireland. Broderick drove his rented BMW 316 head-on into another car carrying 63-year-old Margaret Doherty and her 30-year-old daughter [...]
