Related LinksI'm not sure why I've been so anti-LJ lately. I've got a lot of things on my mind, plus I've been in a bit of a funk. All of the stress of the past month is starting to get to me. Money, jobs, school, accident, moving; it's all a bit overwhelming. On top of all of this me and the little woman have decided to take it back a notch. We jumped into everything so fast we figure it best to ease up and bit so we can focus on the things that we need to focus on right now. While this is a good thing, it still sort of sucks. It's kind of like someone yanking away your sundae just as you were starting to really enjoy it. In the long run though, it should be a good thing as long as I don't fuck it up with my mild schizophrenia that I seem to get from time to time.
Really though, my bouts of paranoia seem to coming in increasing waves. It's not just with the relationship stuff; I get it at work, at school, and everywhere else I go. I get a constant feeling that some force is conspiring against me or just a pervasive feeling of impending doom. I know it is probably just stress induced, but sometimes I wonder if I need to get some sort of evaluation to see if there really is something strange going on in the cortex.
Or maybe I'm just watching too much Six Feet Under. I NetFlixed season 4 and have been Torrenting season 5 from TorrentSpy. Hell yeah Claire Fisher and Mena Suvari lesbian scenes. Please don't anyone spoil the series finale for me, I'm one of the few people that don't know anything about it yet.
There's a bunch of other stuff I want to mention, but I don't have the strength right now. School, the news, movies, books, I've got a truckload of stuff happening in the old head. Everything is hazy though, clouded. Sheesh, who needs a drink? Later.

Related LinksI caught this off a myspace meme, and although lame it is eerily accurate:
SCORPIO Drinking style:
Don't ever tell Scorpios they've had enough, for
they'll smirk at you and quietly but intentionally
keep tippling till they're hog-whimpering drunk, out
of 100-proof spite. Scorpios like to drink, and screw
you if you have a problem with that. Most of them see
the sauce as something to savor in itself, and not as
a personality-altering tool — though if depressed, self-loathing
Scorps seek total obliteration. But generally, they're fascinating
drinking pals, brilliant conversationalists and dizzying flirts. They
also remember everything — especially what you did
when you were blitzed. Only drink with a Scorpio who likes you.
So who wants to share a pint?

Related LinksSo I went out to Fusion, and I did my thing that I do. I drank. I danced. I had fun. Then a weird thing happened. A DJ promoter (and a cute one at that) came up and offered me a job with her and her crew. She said she'd pay me to go to the gigs, dance, and get the crowd going. Cool!
Now I'm no stranger to dancing for money, I worked at Tabu for a month or so, before it got shitty. Still, that was rather lame compared to what this chick was offering. Now I'm fairly modest, I go out and dance just to have a good time. Apparently I do a good enough job to get a little scratch for it. Save the N'Synch/gay jokes please, I've heard them all.
I've never thought of parlaying my dancing fun into a money-making bit, but hey, I'll take what I can get.
So ladies, if you need a good dancer at your next party, feel free to contact me. I do weddings, birthdays, Bah Mitvah's, proms, graduations, and the rest of the events. Call for a price list, it changes with the market.
See you on the flip side lovelies.

First I lost the job, then I get into the accident, my mountain of debt growns taller every day, and now this. My landlords are turning the units into condos so that they can sell them individually and make more money. They're being nice about it, it just sucks ass. I love this place. This is one of the coolest fucking things I have ever seen. This 2 ton steel and polyester beast was created by Theo Jansen, an artist from Holland I believe. The most amazing thing is that this thing can move simply by the wind at its back. Watching it walk is fucking awesome, so be sure to check out the video. Well, it's awesome if you are into that sort of thing. You can also pull the monster with the aid of a leash, which is unassailably cool in its own right.

NEW YORK - While some cable TV hosts are making their living off the Natalee Holloway case this summer, Bob Costas is having none of it.Costas, hired by CNN as an occasional fill-in on “Larry King Live,” refused to anchor Thursday’s show because it was primarily about the Alabama teenager who went missing in Aruba. Chris Pixley filled in at the last minute.
“I didn’t think the subject matter of Thursday’s show was the kind of broadcast I should be doing,” Costas said in a statement. “I suggested some alternatives but the producers preferred the topics they had chosen. I was fine with that, and respectfully declined to participate.” Costas’ manager declined to elaborate on what Costas didn’t like about the topic.
Thursday’s guests included Beth Holloway Twitty, the girl’s mother; a television reporter; and an investigator in the case. Seven of the show’s 10 guests talked about the missing girl, the other segments were about the BTK killer.
The Holloway case has been a big attraction on cable news networks during a slow news period, with Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteren getting record ratings as she’s paid almost nonstop attention to it. Reports of Costas’ decision first surfaced on the mediabistro.com Web site on Friday.
“There were no hard feelings at all,” Costas said. “It’s not a big deal. I’m sure there are countless topics that will be mutually acceptable in the future.” Wendy Walker, senior executive producer of “Larry King Live,” described it as a mutual decision for Costas not to do the show because he was uncomfortable with the subject matter.
“We love having Bob … and since ‘Larry King Live’ covers an extremely extensive palate of subjects, there will always be shows that he will enjoy hosting,” she said. The NBC Sports personality, also host of “Costas Now” on HBO, had agreed to be host for about 20 editions of “Larry King Live” this year. He’s done six, the network said.
His decision is reminiscent of Keith Olbermann, the former sportscaster who left his MSNBC news show in the late 1990s in part because he was asked to repeatedly cover the Monica Lewinsky story. Olbermann is back now for his second run at MSNBC.
Bob Costas, proving that there is some dignity and integrity still left in the media business.

Related LinksMy little lady got a job with a Charles Schwab firm today. I am so proud of her I can hardly contain myself. The shitty part is she is celebrating in Jacksonville with her cousin and I can't be there due to work. She's there for other reasons though that I can't discuss, so we'll leave it at that. Hey, it's rather personal.
I made a decision. I want certain things in life and I will get them, no matter what. I just wrote myself out a check for $500,000, dated ten years from now. In ten years I will be able to cash it. I won't necessarily need to cash it, but I plan on being able to. It's not all about money, but it is about leaving a mark. And God damn it I'm at least going to leave a shit stain on this fucking planet, regardless of what business I am in. I may not win a prize, but I will be remembered.
This might sound crass, arrogant, and a little stupid; but this is what I want. I want my wife and I to have everything we've every dreamed of. A nice house, nice cars, paid bills, and a relatively stress free life due to our hard work. I want my kids to never have to worry about anything but making us proud. I want them to have every resource at their disposal to become good people. Whether they join the Peace Corps or become president, I want them to do what they want to do and be good people.
I want to make my parents proud. I want them to know that all of their hardship, sacrifice, and guidance has been worth it. I want them to be able to tell their friends what their son is doing with pride, not halted shame. I will.
I will.
I will.
I will.
You only get one life, best make the most of it. There are so many people that have given me so much, and all I want to do is be able to give back a little. Or preferably a lot, but that's getting greedy.
Good night and good fight.
